This 17.1 mile paved loop connects Cedar Falls and Waterloo, passing Gateway Park, George Wyth State Park, Hartman Reserve, and Exchange Park before following the Cedar River into Waterloo. The route utilizes former rail grades and park connections, corssing the river at 4th Street and returning to Cedar Falls, and offers parking at mulitple trailheads. It can be extended via the Big Woods Trail Loop or the Cedar Valley Nature Trail.
