Big Woods Trail

Trail runs from the Cedar Valley Lakes trail on the south end at Gateway Park to the Lone Tree Road Trail at the northern end and loops around Big Woods Lake for about a mile and a half.

Big Woods Lake Recreation Area offers a wide range of outdoor activities, including access to the metro trail system, fishing, hiking, disc golf, camping, picnicking, and a 10-acre prairie restoration. The rest of the park features floodplain woodlands and wetlands woven among several small lakes.
