Second State Brewing sits at the corner of 2nd and State, just across from River Place Plaza and steps from the trail. It’s a smaller spot with a steady rotation of house-made beers—IPAs, ales, stouts, and whatever the brewers feel like experimenting with next.

The tap list changes often, so there’s usually something new to try. Concept Kitchen, led by Chef Clint Goodman, serves up solid, satisfying food that goes beyond typical bar fare. It’s an easy stop whether you’re riding through, heading downtown, or settling in for a while.

In the summer, look for the Sunset Surfer Shandy, a seasonal brew made to celebrate Gateway River Park.
