Seerley Park
Seerley Park is a refreshed neighborhood park with an ADA-accessible playground, open green space, and a gazebo shelter with electricity available to rent for gatherings and picnics.
Seerley Park is a 2.3-acre neighborhood park near the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls’ College Hill area. Established in 1893, it is one of the city’s oldest recreational spaces.
The park features a gazebo shelter with electricity, ADA-accessible playground equipment with turf surfacing, updated signage, and an enclosed play and green space. The gazebo shelter is available to rent through the Cedar Falls Recreation Center. Please note that a shelter reservation does not include exclusive use of the entire park.
Seerley Park also has a local literary connection. Author and longtime Cedar Falls resident Nancy Price set her 1987 novel Sleeping with the Enemy in and around the Seerley Park neighborhood, with scenes inspired by locations near the park.
