Big Woods Lake Recreation Area offers a wide range of outdoor activities, including access to the metro trail system, fishing, hiking, disc golf, camping, picnicking, and a 10-acre prairie restoration. The rest of the park features floodplain woodlands and wetlands woven among several small lakes.
