Your wcfsymphony brings together the music of Sergei Prokofiev and his grandson Gabriel in an unforgettable evening of classical tradition, modern innovation, and storytelling. The program opens with Sergei Prokofiev’s spirited Classical Symphony, a witty, energetic work inspired by Haydn and Mozart, followed by Gabriel Prokofiev’s groundbreaking Concerto for Turntables and Orchestra, featuring award-winning Chicago turntablist DJ RTST (“Artist”). The evening concludes with the beloved musical adventure Peter and the Wolf, narrated by longtime KWWL anchorman Ron Steele. Two Prokofievs, a DJ, a wolf, and an Iowa broadcasting legend—this is one concert you won’t want to miss!
