The Scott Sterrett Memorial Race Weekend is a community race event in Cedar Falls featuring a 5K, 10K, half marathon, and relay. The event honors Scott Sterrett, a Cedar Falls reserve officer, runner, and community member, and a portion of proceeds supports scholarships for local high school seniors planning to become first responders. With a downtown start and finish, scenic courses, and post-race activity at River Place Plaza, it’s both a meaningful tribute and a strong local running tradition.
