Held each September on College Hill, The Pear Fair is a longtime Cedar Falls tradition with a strong indie craft focus. Artists, makers, and shoppers gather for a day of handmade goods, original artwork, local food, and community connection.
The Pear Fair is a good place to shop for gifts that feel personal, useful, and a little unexpected. Vendors bring a wide mix of handmade goods, including colorful jewelry, pottery, art prints, stickers, cards, candles, fiber art, crochet plushies, plant hangers, home décor, and accessories.
You might find a new mug for your kitchen, a pair of locally made earrings, a playful keychain, a one-of-a-kind piece of wall art, or a handmade toy for a pet lover in your life. Many makers also offer items made from repurposed, vintage, recycled, or natural materials.
The fair is a chance to meet the people behind the products, shop Iowa-made and Midwest-made work, and pick up gifts for birthdays, holidays, housewarmings, or just because.
