Fireworks Over the Dome is a yearly Cedar Falls tradition. Bring a lawn chair, find a spot near the UNI-Dome, grab something to eat, and enjoy a summer night outside with friends, family, and neighbors.
Before the fireworks start, families settle in, kids have room to move around, and groups catch up while music plays on 93.5 The Mix. Concessions from UNI Athletics help make it a full evening on site.
The fireworks are the highlight, but the event is also about being together and taking part in a community tradition that means a lot to Cedar Falls.
Fireworks Over the Dome also ties into important milestones for Sturgis Falls, UNI, and America. Even with those bigger connections, the night keeps its local feel. People come to spend time together, enjoy the summer evening, and watch the sky light up.
