Hosted annually by the Cedar Falls Community Theatre, the Cedar River Film Festival (CRFF) celebrates the creativity, perspectives, and stories of the American Heartland. Held the last weekend in October at the Historic Oster Regent Theatre in downtown Cedar Falls, Iowa—just steps from the Cedar River—the festival showcases films created throughout seven Midwestern states.
CRFF welcomes storytelling in all its forms, from feature-length and short narrative films to documentaries, experimental works, commercials, biographical pieces, and more. Whether you are a filmmaker, film enthusiast, or simply looking to experience the talent and imagination of the Midwest, the Cedar River Film Festival offers a memorable weekend of cinema in the heart of Cedar Falls.
