Sturgis Falls Celebration and the Cedar Basin Music Annual Festivals fills Cedar Falls with live music, community events, family activities, and carnival fun all weekend long.
Sturgis Falls Celebration is one of Iowa’s largest free annual city celebrations, bringing people together in Cedar Falls for three days of events across Overman Park, Gateway Park, River Place Plaza, and Main Street. Visitors come back year after year for the parade, arts and crafts fair, carnival, car show, live entertainment, and community festivities throughout the weekend.

Overman Park is a main gathering spot during Sturgis Falls, with live entertainment at the bandshell stage, family activities at the Kidsway Stage, and plenty to see and do throughout the weekend. The annual Arts & Crafts Fair brings dozens of vendors to the streets around the park, while food stands nearby serve everything from breakfast burritos and sandwiches to pizza, pretzels, smoothies, and funnel cakes.

Main Street at Sturgis Falls features live entertainment during the day at River Place Plaza and evening performances at the Main Stage. Nearby, Gateway Park along the river is home to the carnival, with rides for all ages and classic midway games.

The Cedar Basin Music Festival brings additional live music to Cedar Falls with performances on multiple stages at Sturgis Park, behind the Ice House Museum, and at NewAldaya on University Avenue. The festival features a mix of jazz, rock, folk, and country, with regional bands and jazz groups performing throughout the weekend.
