Farmers market season in the Cedar Valley means fresh food, local vendors, and easy ways to shop close to home. Use this guide to find markets by day and plan your next stop.

Spring, Summer and Fall in Cedar Falls often starts with an early morning trip to the farmers market. It’s a good place to pick up seasonal produce, baked goods, fresh flowers, plants, and handmade items from local vendors.

The Cedar Falls Farmers Market at 3rd and Clay Streets is the area’s largest market. Set near Overman Park and the historical society, it’s an easy stop for a Saturday morning downtown. Along with fruits, vegetables, plants, baked goods, and artisan goods, shoppers can usually find coffee, food trucks, and live entertainment during the market season. It’s a simple way to spend the morning: grab breakfast or coffee, walk the market, shop for the week, and enjoy some time in the park.

The market is held on Saturdays from May through October, from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

Downtown Cedar Falls also hosts occasional night market events, giving visitors another way to shop local, pick up food and drinks, and spend time in the district during the evening. Check out our Events page for upcoming night markets.
