Give players room to compete and families a weekend they will enjoy - indoors, outdoors or both.
Cedar Falls is a strong fit for youth, club and regional soccer tournaments. The community combines multi-field outdoor capacity, a major indoor competition venue, access to university facilities, convenient lodging and a visitor experience that makes it easy for teams to turn tournament travel into a complete weekend.
Flexible Fields for Tournament Play
The Cedar Valley Soccer Complex is a key outdoor option for tournament organizers. The facility features 11 outdoor natural-grass fields and regularly hosts local leagues, tournaments and soccer events. The facility showcases11 full-size fields or 22 youth-size fields, along with concessions, restrooms and substantial parking. That flexibility supports age-group scheduling, multi-division brackets and high-volume tournament operations.
When weather, seasonality or event format calls for an indoor venue, take your tournament inside at the UNI Dome. Located on the University of Northern Iowa campus, the turf-based facility provides a large, controlled playing environment for indoor soccer tournaments, winter competitions, skills events and specialty formats. Its expansive 100-yard turf field allows organizers to create an efficient tournament setup while giving athletes, coaches and spectators a weather-protected game-day experience.
Additional UNI outdoor fields near the Wellness & Recreation Center can support practices, warmups and complementary event programming.
Hotels That Keep Teams Close
Cedar Falls offers 10 team-friendly hotels, giving tournament organizers flexible lodging options for athletes, coaches and families. With a range of hotel options across price points and group needs, Cedar Falls makes it easy to keep teams together and simplify tournament logistics. Cedar Falls Tourism can assist organizers with hotel recommendations, group lodging coordination and visitor information.
