Cedar Falls offers versatile venues for cheerleading and dance competitions and championship events. With large-capacity arenas, performance-ready spaces and a welcoming environment for athletes, coaches and families, organizers can create a polished and memorable weekend of competition.

Venue Options for Every Competition Format

The UNI Dome is Cedar Falls’ largest and most flexible venue for major cheer and dance events. Located on the University of Northern Iowa campus, the facility offers approximately 78,000 square feet of floor space, expansive seating capacity, concessions and major-event infrastructure. It is well suited for large competitions, multi-division events, showcases and championship weekends.

The McLeod Center provides an arena-style setting for cheer and dance competitions that benefit from a more traditional performance environment. With seating, event operations support and a central campus location, it is a strong option for regional competitions, showcases and awards presentations.

The Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center offers a professional theater setting for dance recitals, showcases, exhibitions and performance-focused programming. Its stage, lighting and audience experience make it an excellent complement to larger competition venues.

Together, these facilities give organizers the flexibility to host large-scale competitions, performance showcases and supporting activities in one connected campus environment.
